About Us

Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Research Centre (PDMDRC) has been envisioned by the team (Dr.Rupam/Dr.Rukmini/Dr.Rajesh)to holistically take care of patients suffering from various movement disorders. The prototype and most common amongst them is Parkinson’s disease. This sub-specialised unit is one of the few centres with maximum experience in treating such disorders in the country. The team is aptly supported by Dr Sruthi, a neurologist specially trained in movement disorder. The team has a mission to serve such patients with empathy and latest technology available around the globe. There is special inclination towards research, publications and training future generations. The team has been instrumental in training neurologists and neurosurgeons across the country hands-on and helping them establish the program in their centres as well. The team has a collective experience of more than 800 cases of DBS. The DBS surgery has not just been streamlined, up to date, but is also designed to take care of the costs suiting the patients even in lower socio-economic strata, With the matra- “Affordable and safe DBS”
